Big Island of Hawaii, Kayaking
Big Island of Hawaii Kayaking Tours – One of my favorite activities on the Big Island would be one of the many kayak rides. These are generally found off the Kona Coast and may include dolphin watching, snorkeling, sea cave exploration and even cliff jumping. Marine life is often within an arms length of your kayak and colorful fish and Hawaiian Sea Turtles are almost always a big part of your experience.
How would I go about starting a sea kayak rental business in Hawaii?

I want to start a sea kayak rental business in Hawaii where I rent about 4 or 5 kayaks off the beach for $20 an hour. Does anyone know if I could just pull up my kayaks onto any public beach and start renting them? I know about 30 years ago I probably could have done this with no problem, but in todays world of excessive government rules and regulations that stifle business growth and development I’m sure there are a bunch of hoops I would have to jump through to realize this dream. If anyone could provide good information regarding starting a business such as this in Hawaii it would be appreciated.
Overwhelmed by the possibilities?
I am trying to plan a low budget trip to Hawaii and I am completely overwhelmed with all the choices. Our family is not very commercial and we like cute bed and breakfest inn’s. We are willing to spend money on kayaks and things like that but we don’t mind simplicty like hiking so any good hiking areas would be good. There are six of us and we are trying to go christmas time to a little past new years. So ideas? Any of the islands are fine just remember non-commercial and low budget.
